RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - At least four people were shot early Saturday morning (Sept. 27) around 4 a.m. in the 7500 block of Hwy 71 South, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

RPSO received multiple phone calls about a shooting at an establishment in the area. Several people were shot and transported to local hospitals by personal vehicles. At this time, RPSO determined there are at least four victims, but their status is unknown at this time.

Law enforcement did not reveal the exact location of the shooting. Pafford EMS, 71 Steel, Super Daqx, Red Dirt Tractors, and Louisiana Hydrostatics are some of the businesses located in that area.
