CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - A driver was arrested after an overnight pursuit turned into a car crash and then a foot chase.
The Cedar Falls Police Department says an officer tried to stop a 2018 Kia Optima around 12:11 am Saturday, but the Kia drove away and a chase began. Law enforcement says the fleeing Kia crashed into a parked car and a detached garage, both of which were unoccupied.
Police say the Kia finally stopped in an apartment complex parking lot, where the driver got out and tried to run away. Officers say they were able to find the driver and take them into custody.
Cedar Falls Police say Jade Miller, 25, is now facing charges of reckless driving, eluding, second-degree criminal mischief, fifth-degree criminal mischief, interference with official acts, and additional driving offens
