World Rivers Day is happening this Sunday, September 28th.

The event is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of every September by several million people in up to 100 countries.

There will be a local celebration happening at the Ft. Normandeau Boat Launch (28054 B Township Road 382).

Central Albertans who attend can appreciate the river’s gifts and help to achieve a sustainable future. This is the second annual celebration of the Red Deer River

This event is free for everyone and will start at 10 am.

Parking is limited so you are asked to carpool if possible.
