The Khagra Crematorium Ghat Durga Puja Committee has depicted Mahishasura in the form of US President Donald Trump.

The committee explained that Trump’s likeness was chosen as a symbolic representation of 'betrayal' against India. This follows recent tariffs imposed by the US on Indian products, which have reportedly affected demand in the American market, despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s previously cordial relations with Trump.

The idol was crafted by artist Asim Pal and was unveiled by Naren Gopal Mukherjee, Mayor of Baharampur Municipality. Since the inauguration, large crowds have been flocking to the pandal to see the striking depiction.
