GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Greenville Police is searching for a Winterville man who fled the scene of Friday’s motorcyclist crash that left two hospitalized, facing serious injuries.

Authorities say that Rashaad Ja’leel Edwards, 28, of Winterville, was driving a white Jeep, which they say crashed into the two motorcycles off Greenville Boulevard and Red Banks Road.

Greenville Police say following the collision, Edwards drove into the parking lot of Truist Bank near the intersection, removed two children from the vehicle, and fled the scene on foot with them.

Authorities say city traffic cameras captured the crash.

The vehicle was later located and towed from the scene.
