A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Milton, Ont., a town located 20 kilometres west of Mississauga.

Officers responded to an accident on Lower Base Line between at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Halton police said in an emailed statement to CBC News.

Police said they found a vehicle with one man inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not provide any details about the collision or what led to it.

Lower Base Line will be closed between Tremaine Road and First Line for the investigation, police said. They did not provide an estimated time for when the road will reopen.
