Bengaluru: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has approved the introduction of a new superfast train service between Bengaluru and Mumbai, BJP MP Tejasvi Surya announced on Saturday.

Sharing the update on X, Tejasvi Surya said, “I have good news for the people of Bengaluru and Mumbai. For the past 30 years, only one superfast train – the Udyan Express – has been connecting these two major cities, taking over 24 hours to complete the journey.”

Due to the lack of options, most passengers were forced to depend on expensive bus services or flights, making travel costly and inconvenient. Surya noted that there had been a long-standing demand from people of both cities to introduce additional train services.
