Arunachal edu dept orders transfers, warns teachers against skipping hard

On July 20, 2025, the Arunachal Pradesh Education Department issued transfer and posting orders for 203 teachers, including Primary Teachers (PRTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), and Postgraduate Teachers (PGTs), as part of its rationalisation initiative under the new Teachers’ Transfer and Posting Policy, 2025.

Following the transfer orders, a significant number of teachers filed appeals, citing medical issues, spousal postings, the education of children—particularly those in critical grades 10 or 12—and prior service in hard-to-reach areas.

A high-level departmental review of these appeals was conducted in September 2025. On September 24, the department issued a partial modification, retaining 45 teachers on compassionate grounds.
