SEATTLE — The prestige of entering space has changed in recent years.
The Museum of Flight in Seattle is hosting a special event Oct. 1 for a new book focusing on what's viewed as a "new space era."
Spacewalks and launches appear to be happening more, and they are on pace to continue to increase.
According to NASA's tracking, there have been over 270 spacewalks at the International Space Station since December 1998.
While those stats are over the course of nearly two decades, space industry experts are estimating launches and walks to set new records.
