Talks of a fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler started a little over two years ago, but the bout never took place since McGregor was suddenly injured ahead of UFC 303. While McGregor is still considering a UFC White House return, Chandler remains relaxed and holds no resentment if McGregor retires. However, if McGregor returns, he wants to fight at White House card.

While speaking with Bruce Buffer, Chandler said he would be okay if McGregor never fought again and congratulated him on his retirement. He added that he still wants the chance to punch McGregor at the White House. Chandler noted he would help ‘The Irishman’ if needed, but still desires to face him in the octagon.
