**Shooting Near Angleton, Texas, Claims Lives of Two Children**
ANGLETON, Texas — A shooting early Saturday near Angleton has resulted in the deaths of two children and left two others critically injured, according to local authorities. The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to the scene after receiving calls about the incident.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered two children, ages 13 and 4, who had been fatally shot. Two additional children, aged 8 and 9, were transported by medical helicopter to a nearby hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that all individuals believed to be involved in the shooting have been detained. They stated, “There is no ongoing threat to the community.” However, officials have not released further details regarding the location of the shooting or the events leading up to it.
Attempts to reach county spokespersons for additional information were unsuccessful, as phone and email messages went unanswered. In a statement, the sheriff’s office expressed condolences, saying, “While details are still developing, the loss of two children in such a manner is a tragedy.
