The Child Learning Center at the University of Colorado Boulder is not a typical preschool classroom.
It has a special kind of magic, clinical supervisor Katie Miller said. Some children are just starting to use words, some use a tablet to communicate, some use sign language and others can speak in long paragraphs.
“It’s really beautiful at the end of each year and even semester-to-semester to watch how much growth the children make and how independent they become,” Miller said. “They really start to include everyone in their play … they love each other, and we foster this environment for them to grow and value everyone in the classroom.”
