Kolkata, Sep 27: A social media influencer from Aranghata in West Bengal’s Nadia district, identified as Biswajit Biswas, was arrested late Friday night for making derogatory remarks against the Indian Armed Forces across various online platforms. According to local police, Biswas, who had gained notoriety for his online presence, routinely posted objectionable content targeting the armed forces and even went live on Facebook to voice abusive and inflammatory comments.

The arrest came after several complaints were lodged by both his neighbours and acquaintances on social media, who were disturbed by the repeated offensive content. Authorities said that during questioning, Biswas was unable to provide a clear motive behind his hostility toward the armed
