Gwangju(South Korea), Sep 27 (UNI) India’s armless archer Sheetal Devi won gold in the women’s compound individual event at the Para World Archery Championship here today.

Sheetal’s main competition was from Turkiye’s top-ranked archer Oznur Cure Girdi whom she overcame 146-143 in the final round.

This win marks the 18 year old’s third medal at the event. Sheetal had earlier won a mixed team bronze alongside Toman Kumar. In the compound women’s open team event, Sheetal along with Sarita won silver after falling to Turkiye in the final.
