COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Auburn football 's in a fine place, all things considered, with just one loss through four games this season. But its latest defeat was a reminder of the hump the Tigers have struggled to get over under head coach Hugh Freeze .
Last weekend, Auburn opened SEC play with a 24-17 loss at then-No. 12 Oklahoma . It dropped Freeze's record on the Plains back below .500. It was his seventh one-score loss in his tenure and his ninth defeat to a ranked opponent.
