At the 80th session of UNGA, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar blasted Pakistan. Without naming Islamabad, the EAM called it "the epicentre of terrorism." He emphasised that countering terrorism continues to be a global priority, asserting that India has faced this threat since independence, with "major international terrorist attacks traceable to that one country" for decades.
Referring to the deadly Pahalgam attack, in which 26 innocents were killed in April, Jaishankar asserted that it exemplified "cross-border barbarism."
