Anaheim extends 22 year old forward to 6 year $7 million contract
The Anaheim Ducks have finally taken care of a key piece of business today as via insider Elliotte Friedman Mason McTavish has been extended to a 6 year $7 million contract.
The 22 year old forward was one of the top remaining RFA's without a deal, this now leaves New Jersey's Luke Hughes as the big domino to fall.
McTavish recorded 22 goals and 30 assists for 52 points in 76 games with the Ducks last year. Across 3 seasons in Anaheim, he has registered 60 goals and 80 assists for 140 points in 229 games.
What does this deal mean for Anaheim?
This is good news for the Ducks and GM Pat Verbeek to get this deal taken care of, better late than never as the forward has been sitting out training c
