BOZEMAN — The Montana State football team is opening Big Sky Conference play against Eastern Washington at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bobcat Stadium.
It's Homecoming for the No. 4-ranked Bobcats (2-2), who are 20.5-point favorites to beat the unranked Eagles (1-3). This is the fifth straight year these two teams have faced off. MSU is 4-0 so far this decade against EWU, which boasts a 32-14 all-time record against the Cats.
MSU beat Mercyhurst 17-0 in Bozeman last week and earned a 41-7 home-opening victory the week against a different unranked FCS team, San Diego. The Cats opened the season with a 59-13 loss at FBS no-No. 6 Oregon and lost 30-24 in double overtime to FCS No. 2 South Dakota State at Bobcat Stadium in Week 2.
