A cyclist was killed Friday night in a crash with a car north of Longmont.

The crash, which occurred around 7:45 p.m. in Boulder County, involved a 2006 Honda SUV at the intersection of U.S. 287 and County Road 4, near Foothills Gardens of Memory. The cyclist was a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, according to a Colorado State Patrol news release.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The 50-year-old man driving the Honda was not injured and remained at the crash site.

The Colorado State Patrol is working to determine the cause of the crash.
