NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - St. John’s Lutheran Church in Nashville is holding a musical fundraiser Saturday with the goal of gathering food and monetary donations for those in need.

Pastor Rick Roberts said the “Singing for their Supper” event will take place Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church, located at 3259 McGavock Pike.

There will be live music, drinks and food, including hot dogs, hamburgers and chips, for all attendees.

“Our goal is to provide needed food for children during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays,” Roberts said.

This is the church’s second “Singing for their Supper” event. In May, St. John’s raised enough donations to create 653 food bags, providing meals to more than 3,000 families,
