The Election Commission, led by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, is planning to visit Bihar on October 4 and 5 to review preparedness for the Assembly elections, officials said on Saturday. Apart from CEC Gyanesh Kumar, the Election Commission comprises Election Commissioners SS Sandhu and Vivek Joshi. A meeting of election observers is scheduled to be held in Delhi on October 3, sources said. “The elections are likely to kick-start around a week after the Chhath Pooja celebrations, which will be over on October 28, and expected to be wrapped up in three phases,” sources said.
