A Greensboro man is facing charges in connection with a shooting in Greensboro earlier this month, authorities said.
At 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 9, Greensboro police found a gunshot victim in the 100 block of East Seneca Road, police said.
Obie Lashawn Malachi, 43, was arrested Friday and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, possession of a firearm by a felon and discharging a firearm in the city, police said.
Malachi is accused of shooting Kelly Morehead with a rifle in a parking lot in the 100 block of East Seneca Road, according to arrest warrants.
Malachi is being held in the Guilford County Jail, and he was served with outstanding warrants in other cases, police said.
He is scheduled to appear Monday in Guilford District Court.
