SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — After more than two decades holding events across the state, one Utah film organization now has a permanent place to call home.

The Utah Film Center officially opened its doors on its new facility in the Marmalade District of Salt Lake City on Saturday morning. Over 100 people were in attendance for the opening, including Utah filmmakers, supporters and community members.

The new facility is named after Geralyn White Dreyfous, who founded the Utah Film Center in 2002, and features film co-working spaces, dedicated workspaces for staff and a Black Box Studio for screenings, live events and other programming.
