UNITED NATIONS, Sep 27: India has asserted that Pakistan’s military “pleaded” for a cessation of hostilities during Operation Sindoor and reiterated that there is no room for third-party intervention in India-Pakistan matters.

The remarks were made by Petal Gahlot, First Secretary at India’s Permanent Mission to the UN, during a Right of Reply at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

Gahlot’s response came after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his UNGA address, praised former U.S. President Donald Trump for helping avert war between the two nuclear-armed nations and claimed Trump deserved a Nobel Peace Prize.
