One person was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 52 Saturday afternoon.

Collision near Kokomo Road

La Broquerie Fire Department Deputy Fire Chief Miguel Dubé says they were called to the scene just after 4 p.m. He adds that it appears that a truck travelling eastbound was turning onto Kokomo Road when it was rear-ended by an eastbound van.

Injuries reported

Dubé says the driver of the van was transported to hospital by ground ambulance with minor injuries. The driver of the truck was treated at the scene and released. There were no other occupants.

Road closure and investigation

The highway was closed for about 45 minutes while crews assisted EMS, RCMP and tow services. Dubé notes the cause of the crash is being reviewed by RCMP.
