ATLANTA -- Bubba Chandler sparkled in his Atlanta homecoming to close out his season, striking out six over 5 2/3 innings to lead the Pirates to a 3-1 win over the Braves on Saturday night at Truist Park.

Chandler -- a native of Lawrenceville, Ga., about 30 miles east of Truist Park -- brought the heat, averaging 99 mph on his fastball and getting 10 whiffs and five of his strikeouts with it. That set the pace for Pittsburgh's No. 2 prospect (MLB's No. 7 ) as he worked around four hits to allow just one run. He did not walk a batter for a third consecutive start.
