FARGO — Entering Saturday, North Dakota State was the only Summit League volleyball team that had yet to play a conference game.
The Bison kicked off their Summit slate in a big way.
Lauren Jansen's team-high 11 kills helped NDSU snap a three-game losing streak, topping rival North Dakota in straight sets before 1,205 fans at Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
It was the Bison's third straight win in the rivalry and 14th in the last 16 meetings.
Set scores were 25-20, 25-21, 25-18.
Down 18-15 in the third set, NDSU rallied to finish on a 10-0 scoring run. Match point was secured by Arianna Blohm on what was her final of eight kills.
