The No. 2-ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League made it four wins in a row to start the season with a 3-1 road win over the Barrie Colts at the Sadlon Arena. Article content Article content
That puts the current squad in elite company with the last Windsor team to start with four wins in a row being the 2008-09 Spitfires, who went on to win the club’s first Memorial Cup.
“Oh boy,” Spitfires head coach Greg Walters said when informed of that stat. “I t’s nice (to get off to a quick start) and to be in that company.”
Windsor started the 2008-09 season with six wins in a row before the club suffered its first loss, which ironically came in Barrie to the Colts.
