IRASBURG, Vt. (WCAX) - Hundreds of people gathered in the Northeast Kingdom to honor and remember fallen members of the military and law enforcement at this year’s Jesse Strong Patriots day.

The event remembers, Marine Sgt. Jesse Strong of East Albany, was a marine who served in Iraq and was killed in action. David “Chris” Maland, a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Agent was killed on January 20, 2025, in Coventry while on duty. As well as, all the local first responders.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Jesse’s passing and his mother, Vicky Strong cant believe its been 20 years and is thankful for the decades of support from her community.
