STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — No. 6 Oregon walked into one of the most intimidating settings in college football and walked out with a statement win. Under the blinding lights of Penn State’s famed White Out, the Ducks handed the third-ranked Nittany Lions their first loss of the season in a 30-24 double-overtime battle on Saturday night.

“It would have been devastating to be on the other end of that,” said Oregon head coach Dan Lanning after the win. “We’ll probably see that team again.”

The Ducks seized control early in the second half. Oregon built a two-touchdown lead. Running back Jordon Davison’s fourth-quarter touchdown seemed to put the game away, but Penn State clawed back.
