BOSTON -- The Detroit Tigers clinched a spot in the playoffs on Saturday night, but they still don’t know who they’ll face or where they’ll play.
At some point after Sunday’s regular-season finale at Fenway Park, the Tigers will board a plane for one of four cities: Detroit, Cleveland, New York or Toronto. The fact that all four remain plausible outcomes shows how much the Tigers still don’t know about their playoff path with only one day left in the season.
