Brandon Jones won the pole for the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff race at Kansas Speedway, leading to a one-way ticket to the Round of 8. On Saturday evening, Jones and the No. 20 team for Joe Gibbs Racing won the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas, earning their second victory of the 2025 Xfinity Series season.
It was a fantastic performance by the driver of the No. 20 car and arguably the best of his NASCAR career. Following the event, Jones climbed from his No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota and discussed his big Xfinity Series win at Kansas.
"That was exactly like how we needed that to go down,” Jones said. “Two really solid stages – no mistakes. The entire day was so well executed. That’s probably by far in my career my most well-executed race. I’m so proud of these guys. We worked so hard all week to get here and put a race like this together.”
Jones has now secured a spot in the Round of 8, and the big victory at Kansas could be the spark that his No. 20 team needs to compete for a championship. Joe Gibbs Racing is starting to round into form during the 2025 NASCAR playoffs, and Jones could be one of the favorites to make the Championship 4.
