A tragic shooting took place at a coastal bar in Southport, North Carolina, on Saturday night when a gunman opened fire from a boat. Officials confirmed that three people were killed and at least eight others were injured in the attack.

Police have taken a person of interest in for questioning while the investigation continues. Authorities asked locals to stay away from the area until it is declared safe.
