Scott Sorensen's season is all-but over, with the Panthers back-rower forced off with a head knock just minutes into his side's preliminary final against the Broncos.

The four-time premiership winner reeled out of a collision and stayed down, before getting to his feet and staggering around.

"He's gone, this will be his day over," Andrew Johns said on Nine.

"One of those indicators if they stagger, it's a cat one and he was staggering then.

"He was seriously wobbly."

The 32-year-old had blood coming from his mouth as he was helped from the field.
