SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – The Spokane Valley Fire Department hosted their annual Fire and Life Safety Open House this afternoon.

The event offered live firefighter demonstrations and allowed visitors to explore inside a fire engine and a helicopter. Families enjoyed a lively atmosphere while learning crucial safety tips.

The open house provided a great opportunity for the community to connect with those who work to ensure their safety.

Activities included hands-on experiences, lunch with the crew and a chance for kids to explore fire engines and equipment. Visitors could also sit behind the wheel of the station's vehicles and test the crew's communication system.

The event was free and showcased Spokane Valley Fire's new training center.
