A popular Spring Lake Heights ice cream shop is temporarily closed after a car crashed into its building on Saturday.
Hoffman’s Ice Cream, a summer staple since the 1980s, is closed until further notice, the management announced on Facebook .
A store employee told NJ Advance Media that a car crashed into the building, damaging a window.
The Spring Lake Heights police department said it could not immediately comment on the crash, but a photo posted on social media shows what appears to be minor damage to the buildings.
Hoffman’s location in Point Pleasant will remain open.
The business will keep customers updated about the status of the Spring Lake Heights location on social media, according to post on the shop’s social media account.
