Wanderlei Silva's boxing debut descended into chaos after the final bell.

49-year-old Silva squared off against former two-weight boxing champion Acelino Freitas, 50, in an exhibition bout in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday night.

Silva was disqualified from the contest in the fourth round after committing multiple fouls, including an intentional headbutt.

Once the referee waved off the fight, members of both teams rushed the ring, and a mass brawl ensued.

Amid the disorder, Silva was caught by a wild right hand from a man in a tuxedo, believed to be part of Freitas' entourage.

The shot sent Silva tumbling to the canvas, where he lay motionless on his back as the havoc continued around him.
