West Coast co-captain Charlotte Thomas says the teams’ defenders went to school on their tough 51-point loss to Melbourne on Sunday ahead of their clash against Greater Western Sydney.
The Eagles’ defence was put under heavy strain at Casey Fields last week, Eden Zanker booting five goals in the first half as she feasted on the Demons’ midfield dominance.
However, a switch of primary defender during the second term and a team effort in the second half prevented the talented forward adding to her tally and achieving a new career high.
