CHICO, Calif. - Butte County is set to enhance its air quality efforts with two new programs launching at the Breathe Better Butte Fair on October 1.
Officials say the event will take place at Riverbend Park in Oroville from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The Butte County Air Quality Management District is re-launching its Lawn and Garden Equipment Voucher Program. The initiative helps residents and businesses swap out gas-powered equipment for battery-powered alternatives.
Attendees at the fair can apply for this program and see demonstrations of the new equipment. Applications will be available at the event and online at the district's website starting October 2.
