New Delhi: Mithun Manhas has been appointed as the new president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The appointment was confirmed during the annual general meeting at the BCCI headquarters. A former cricketer linked with the Jammu Cricket Association, Manhas takes over from Roger Binny.

Manhas was nominated by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), where he served as an administrator. He made his first-class debut in the 1997/98 season. Despite his impressive record in first-class cricket, he was denied a place in the senior team. At
