Preparations are in full swing for Steinbach Community Christmas, a project that brings food hampers and toys to families each December. While the weather may still feel like summer, organizers are already hard at work ensuring no household is left out during the holiday season. A record number of hampers were delivered last year, and the plan is to prepare even more for this year.

Hampers and toys for hundreds of families

Co-chair Carolyn Peters says the committee has been busy ordering food, corresponding with sponsors and reaching out to donors. The project relies on both financial contributions and toy donations from the community.
