When the Minnesota Vikings’ Will Reichard connected for a 62-yard field goal on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, it wasn’t a kick that he had practiced over and over leading into the game.
“I normally don’t go back that long during the season,” Reichard told the Minnesota Star Tribune, “just because I feel like trying 60-yarders creates some bad habits. But I hit from 59 in pregame and saw that it had some distance left on it.”
Vikings special-teams coordinator Matt Daniels said the kicker and the team have taken the long view on the 2025 NFL campaign after the former Hoover High School and Alabama standout missed four games last season.
