First look at North Somerset's new 'landmark' council estate with a difference View 2 Images
A pioneering council housing estate in North Somerset is welcoming its first residents as the site nears completion. Elm Grove in Nailsea is a new-build development with a difference, embodying an eco-friendly design to drastically reduce energy bills for the people who live there.
North Somerset Council has delivered the 52 'affordable' homes on land it owns, in partnership with developer Stonewood Homes and housing association Alliance Homes.
The latter described Elm Grove as a "landmark housing development" and said residents are already moving in, although more properties are available to reserve through shared ownership. The estate is expected to be fully complete by Christmas.
