MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- The Maryland Task Force 1 (MDTF-1) is being deployed to the Carolinas on Sunday morning.

Officials said the MDTF-1 is set to deploy as a Type III Urban Search and Rescue team with water rescue capabilities.
