The weeds on my driveway have been a constant bother since I moved in years ago. Almost every single brick in my block paving driveway has been largely engulfed by an unsightly mix of weeds, grass and moss.
When the driveway is weed-free (which is almost never), it looks bright and inviting. However, when overrun with weeds, it becomes an eyesore and a source of embarrassment.
I've tried everything from laboriously scrubbing around several thousand bricks with a wire brush (which did no favours for my back) to filling in the gaps between the blocks with setting sand and kiln-dried sand. I even gave vinegar a go after my neighbours told me it's what the previous homeowner used to do (though they did caution that it left the street smelling like a fish and chip shop for weeks).
