CINCINNATI BENGALS star Joe Burrow broke his silence after his heartbreaking injury.

Burrow, 28, suffered a turf toe injury during the Bengals' win over the Jacksonville Jaguars two weeks ago after being sacked by Arik Armstead.

The quarterback now faces a long spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on his foot.

The former LSU star issued an emotional message to fans on Instagram where he a posted three photos - two of which were in black and white.

Burrow added the following caption: " This game will break your heart. See you soon ."

Initial reports suggested the Bengals star would be out for about three months.

That would allow the ex-Ohio State star to return during the regular season.
