Brooklyn Children’s Museum , the city’s largest cultural institution for families and the world’s first children’s museum, has hired Kaylynn Mayo as its new Director of Education.

Mayo, an artist and educator, brings more than a decade of experience leading community-focused and informal learning programs for children of all ages.

"I'm honored to join Brooklyn Children's Museum as Director of Education and help carry forward its long tradition of inspiring curiosity, celebrating identity, and cultivating joyful learning," says Kaylynn Mayo.

She previously managed school programs and community outreach at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan and was part of the opening team for BCM’s ColorLab, teaching its first programs and summer camp activities.
