HASSAN: Police resorted to lathicharge to control a crowd of people who had gathered at a cloth store for a sale offer in Udayagiri neighbourhood in Hassan city.

The offer was announced by Arun Adda Men’s Wear at Lakshmi Badminton Academy building, attracting a large number of young men. As the crowd surged to buy clothes, police used lathis to maintain order.

The scene turned chaotic, with people running helter-skelter after the lathicharge. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Extension police station.
