Anaheim Ducks

Jansen Harkins will be out eight weeks because of an upper-body injury, the Ducks announced Saturday. The 28-year-old forward was injured in Anaheim's preseason opener against the Los Angeles Kings on Sept. 21. Harkins played 62 games for the Ducks last season and had six points (two goals, four assists).

New York Islanders

Anders Lee (upper body) practiced Sunday in a noncontact jersey. The Islanders announced Sept. 25 their captain would be out 1-2 weeks after he was injured during a 3-2 shootout loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Sept. 22. Lee had been skating on his own. Maxim Tsyplakov (maintenance) also practiced Sunday; the forward had been day to day.
