BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Another warm but pleasant day is in store to wrap up the weekend, with lower humidity sticking around. The heat, however, continues into the first part of next week, and two tropical systems are being closely monitored in the Atlantic.

TODAY’S FORECAST

Lower humidity will make for a comfortable morning, but afternoon temperatures will climb into the low 90s under mostly sunny skies. The evening will feel more comfortable thanks to the drier air, allowing temperatures to cool more quickly after sunset.

HEAT REMAINS

An upper-level ridge is building, keeping both the heat and dry pattern in place. Highs will stay in the low 90s, which is above average, through midweek. By late week, a shift in the upper-level pattern should bring highs back into the 80s.
